Several years ago I began teaching a seminar on How to Buy Home. I had realized, after many years as a New Home Specialist at New Homes America, that my clients and I were spending as much time talking about how to buy a home as we were what type of home they were looking for. Just like “How to Balance your checkbook 101” is not something taught in school, neither was this information something that people could find easily. So I decided to formalize all our casual conversations, and created a class for my clients that would be short, fun, and informative. Soon, other agents in my office began sitting in along with their clients. The class has grown into a regular program at our office, and has expanded to cover more topics, such as the differences between buying a new home or resale home, but they’re still informal, and fun!
